Holiday Mug Workshop

Get into the holiday spirit with a cozy, creative pottery experience at CMA Studio!

In this 2-hour workshop, you'll create and decorate your own ceramic mug, making it a special piece to enjoy throughout the holiday season or gift to someone you love.

Whether you're new to pottery or already enjoy working with clay, this is a chance to slow down, get creative and enjoy a festive evening in the studio.

• Guided, hands-on pottery instruction

• Clay, tools and materials

• Time to create and personalize your own mug

• Hot chocolate, tea and holiday treats

• Drying, glazing and firing of your finished piece (by your instructor)
  

Workshop Details

• Duration: 2 hours

• Price: $85 + HST per person

• Age requirement: 19+

• Capacity: Limited to 9 participants
  

Your finished mug will be ready for pickup once it has dried and completed the firing process. Please allow time for this process before the holidays.

Workshop Length

Approximately 2 hours, including cleanup.

Before You Arrive

To make the most of your workshop:

• Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty.

• Trim long nails and tie back long hair for a more comfortable experience.

• Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in and explore the studio.

• Cleanup is part of the pottery experience and everyone helps tidy their workspace before heading home.

Reserve your spot online or in person at the studio.

Each workshop has 9 available spaces and requires a minimum of 3 participants to run. If a class needs to be rescheduled, we'll contact you by email.

A Note About Handmade Pottery

Working with clay is wonderfully rewarding, but every piece is unique. Throughout the drying and firing process, natural changes such as warping, cracking, or breakage can occasionally occur. While we take every precaution with your work, we can't guarantee the final outcome.

Picking Up Your Pottery

We'll email you as soon as your finished piece is ready.

Because studio storage is limited, we ask that all pottery be picked up within one month of the pickup notification. After that time, unclaimed pieces may be donated. If you're unable to pick up your work, please contact us to ask about shipping options.
