What You'll Make

Create your own functional berry bowl using handbuilding techniques. Choose a round or square design, add drainage holes, handles and personalize it with textures and underglaze decoration. This beginner-friendly workshop is a fun introduction to working with clay while creating a beautiful piece you'll enjoy using for years to come.

Who Is This Workshop For?

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're trying clay for the first time or have previous experience, your instructor will provide guidance that matches your skill level.

Come on your own, bring a friend, or make it a creative night out.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Workshop Length

Approximately 2 hours, including cleanup.

What's Included

Your registration includes everything you need:

• Approximately 2 lbs of clay

• Full access to studio tools and underglaze colours

• Aprons (you're welcome to bring your own)

• Step-by-step instruction from your instructor

• Bisque and glaze firings completed by our studio team

• A food-safe clear or coloured glaze finish

• Finished pieces ready for pickup in approximately 3–6 weeks

  
  

Before You Arrive

To make the most of your workshop:

• Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little muddy.

• Trim long nails and tie back long hair for a more comfortable experience.

• Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in and explore the studio.

• Cleanup is part of the pottery experience, and everyone helps tidy their workspace before heading home.

Each workshop has 9 available spaces and requires a minimum of 4 participants to run. If a class needs to be rescheduled, we'll contact you by email.

A Note About Handmade Pottery

Working with clay is wonderfully rewarding, but every piece is unique. Throughout the drying and firing process, natural changes such as warping, cracking, or breakage can occasionally occur. While we take every precaution with your work, we can't guarantee the final outcome.

Picking Up Your Pottery

We'll email you as soon as your finished piece is ready.

Because studio storage is limited, we ask that all pottery be picked up within one month of the pickup notification. After that time, unclaimed pieces may be donated. If you're unable to pick up your work, please contact us to ask about shipping options.
